1990FIRST TIME AT DTM WITH AUDISONAX first got involved in DTM in 1990 as a partner of the Audi team. Audi was a newcomer to the series and, with driver Hans-Joachim Stuck, took the title home to Ingolstadt at its first outing. This also gained the SONAX brand many new fans.

1992RIGHT AT THE FRONT AGAIN WITH MERCEDES-BENZThe team of drivers Klaus Ludwig, Keke Rosberg, Bernd Schneider and Ellen Lohr took the title for Mercedes, a first for the car maker. In the company of these four drivers, SONAX reached a pinnacle of brand awareness.

2001With the Opel Astra V8 into the new millenniumFrom 2001, SONAX returned to the DTM as a partner to the Opel Team Phoenix. The team supporting driver Manuel Reuter was able to achieve four victories in total and once more brought SONAX to the attention of motorsports fans.

2005Audi and SONAX together again in the DTMIn the 2005 season, six-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen and DTM newbie Frank Stippler took to the track in two Audi A4 DTMs - with the SONAX and S line livery and sport and tuning kits from quattro GmbH.

2012SUCCESS IN A NEW MILLENNIUM WITH BMW MotorsportSince its 2012 comeback, SONAX has stood at BMW’s side as a team sponsor. In Hockenheim that year, Bruno Sprengler tore across the finish line in first place. As a BMW partner, SONAX celebrated winning the driver title, team classification and construction championship.

2021Second place with ABT SportslineIn 2021, SONAX continues its long-standing partnership with ABT Sportsline. On his first time out with the Audi R8 LMS GT3, Kelvin van der Linde gains the initial victory. In the team competition, ABT Sportsline, together with SONAX, take second place.
